Helena Nilsson
Profile

Helena Nilsson specializes in life science-related law and worked for many years at the Swedish Government Offices, where she was secretary general of the review that led to the reregulation of the Swedish pharmacy market. She is also a trained judge and assessor at the Scania and Blekinge Court of Appeal.

At Ascente, she advises life science companies on a range of matters, including within the pharmaceutical, medtech, cosmetics and food industries. She often works with regulatory issues, including market access, marketing and distribution, in these and other strictly regulated sectors.

Helena advises clients on issues relating to permits, pricing and subsidies, substitution, data protection, collaboration between industry and healthcare professionals, information and marketing, as well as various types contracts relating to research, development and other cooperation agreements, along with commercial disputes in both courts of law and on arbitration tribunals.

Helena is also engaged as a speaker at seminars and conferences in the life science sector and has written numerous articles on the subject.
